Even though it has been many years since electricity was generated, we cannot control it completely. No one can imagine a life without electricity. Electricity has become a basic need of humankind. Electricity becomes a vital part of our daily life. It is all around us. If the safety of a human being or machine mitigates then the electricity strikeout and its effect can be devastating. Let's see what different kind of problems occurs at the time of electrical installations.
1. Electrical Surges:-
There are various reasons for electrical surges in electrical equipment like lightning, faulty machines, bad wiring. Surges last long for few milliseconds but affects badly. If surges occur frequently then the main culprit is an electrical device that is connected to the main grid. In account to avoid this one must check the ground wiring connection. If possible change the electrical equipment.
2. Sags & Dips in power:-
Every electrical equipment work on a particular operating voltage. It shows inaccurate reading when electrical surges occur frequently. Sages are more damaging to equipment and cause outages, failure, and other power distribution problems. There is a lot of power loss when sags and dips come into the home appliances.
3. Circuit Breaker Tripping Frequency:-
It occurs often because of overloading or short circuit. When the circuit breaker trips that indicate extra load is connected to mains. If a circuit breaker trips because it has exceeded its maximum amperage, the switch handle will have moved between the on and off position and may show a red area alerting you that it has tripped. If the power has gone off in a certain area of your home rather than all over the house, the problem may be a tripped circuit breaker. The electrical circuit of your home is protected by either circuit breakers or fuses.
4. Electrical Shocks:-
Electricity is a form of energy. An electrical shock can cause tickling or tingling, muscle spams serious burns, or even heart attack. Electrical shocks happen when you turn your device on or off. The issue could be with appliances, or it could be in the wiring.
Most electrical accidents happen when we are distracted or in a rush. To stay safe be aware of dangerous situations that pose a risk of electrical contact. If you are going to help someone who has sustained a high voltage shock, you need to be very careful that you don't become a second victim of a similar electrical shock.
5. Light bulb burning out too often:-
There are many reasons why a light bulb burst. Some of them are as follows:-
1. Wattage is too high
2. Insulation is too close to the light
3. Bad wiring on the circuit
4. Bad wiring on mains
5. Poor connections
6. High electricity bill:-
One of the main reasons your electric bill may be high is that you leave your appliances or electronics plugged in you are using it or not. If you are charging electrical appliances unnecessary. The average phone needs around 2-3 hours of full charge, not a full 12 hours. Keeping your phone or computer plugged in all night drains energy, and will lead to an unusually high electric bill. Be aware of charging times, and remind yourself not to leave your electronics plugged in overnight.
Use your home appliances strategically. Always remember to turn off lights & fans if the room is not in use.
If you want to reduce electricity bill follow the below steps:-
1. Switching to a more cost-effective provider
2. Identifying electrical devices that may be causing power surges
3.Identifying electrical devices that may be causing power surges patching leaks in the hot water system.
4. Unplugging appliances and chargers when not in use
5. Repairing damaged wiring or circuits
